Why are we here?
Well a little about myself. I have always enjoyed technology since elementary school and have watched the internet grow from it’s infancy (since Prodigy Online was the first big thing). Starting in Highschool, in the late 90’s, I was fascinated with how computers and networks can be vulnerable and attacked and learned how this is done and what can be done to protect from these attacks.
Life directed me toward the U.S. Air Force in 2004 and I have been faithfully serving our country since. Having been in the Fuels Management Career Field has been interesting, but I focused on looking at ways to protect our networks and equipment as many are becoming computerized.
During my time in the U.S. Air Force, I have been fortunate to have great leadership that allowed me to work above and beyond expectations above my peers. I have already completed my Masters of Science in Cybersecurity where my focus was on National Critical Infrastructure Protection and I am finishing up my second Masters in Education Technology. I will be starting my Doctoral Journey with Old Dominion University in August of 2021, pursuing my Doctor of Engineering in Cybersecurity.
My passion is to further the advancement of cybersecurity education to everyone. My drive is to look for effective ways to educate all internet users young and old so everyone can understand how to better defend yourself. This portfolio hopefully is a quick snapshot of my skills and expectations of my capability.
